Dear Parishioners,

Dearly beloved brothers and sisters, today Christ reminds each and every one of us of the desire he has, which is to bring the gospel to his people in our community. Hence, in today’s gospel reading taken from Luke 10:1-12,17-20, he sends his disciples to neighboring towns and villages to proclaim his message of peace and love. Our today’s communities still need God’s peace and love and Christ desires that we be the dispenser of his peace and love to our communities. Let us, like the disciples, accept this great mission which Christ desires of us by our words and action. May the words of our mouth always enlighten people of God’s love and peace for them, and may our actions materialize it that they may believe and seek Christ. Be rest assured dearly beloved brothers and sisters that this kind gesture of ours will be rewarded by our heavenly Father for he promises that our names will be written in the book of life. Peace be with you.

2022 Annual Catholic Appeal

I take this opportunity to thank all of you who have contributed to this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal. As you know, the appeal supports the pastoral workings of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Each parish is assigned a financial goal for the year. Our goal at St. Martin de Porres is $63,586. To date we have pledged $29,947. I thank all of you for your support and generosity. The key to having a successful appeal is participation.
